Start a Chapter

If you’re interested in starting a JSA chapter at your own school, please contact Expansion Director Cecelia McDermott (cmcdermott@midwest.jsa.org).

Then, she’ll guide you through 6 important steps:

  1. Choose a Chapter President. 
  2. Find a Teacher Advisor. To learn more, they can look at the TA Guide.
  3. Confirm with the School Administration. 
  4. Submit the Leadership Form. Found here.
  5. Hold your first meeting.
  6. Acquire 8 tax-paid members. The tax form can be found here.
