What is Fundraising?
Reaching record breaking fundraising goals is just one step the Fundraising Departments takes to achieve success for the Junior State of America. The Fundraising Department focuses on generating as many scholarships as possible in order to financially help those in need of assistance for any JSA convention.
Co-Directors of Fundraising
My name is Sathvik Rayala and I am a student at Dublin Coffman High School. I am an intern for State Rep. Kathleen Clyde’s Campaign for Secretary of State and I also work with local progressive organizations. I am also involved in Model UN, Tennis, and High School Young Democrats. I look forward to working as Co-Director of Fundraising to make ORV JSA more affordable and accessible because everyone should be able to participate in JSA, regardless of income or any other status. This year is going to be a great year because of OUR hard work!
Hi! I’m Kayla Walton and I’m a senior at Cristo Rey Columbus High School. When I’m not participating in JSA, I run cross country, swim, and sing in my school choir. I’m beyond grateful to serve JSA as Chapter President and ORV Co-Fundraising Director; we’re going to have a great year!!
Hello, I’m Rachel Balaj, and I’m currently a sophomore at the Miami Valley School. I’m very excited to serve on Cabinet for the first time this year! Outside of JSA, my activities and interests include cross country, ballroom dancing, yearbook, and computer science. I’m looking forward to serving the ORV this year!
Hi ORV, I am student at Worthington Kilbourne High School. Outside of politics, I enjoy participating community service, school and hanging out with friends. I hope to have a wonderful and productive year in JSA.
This year I am honored to be apart of the ORV Fundraising Department. JSA has taught me so much about politics and life in general, and I couldn’t be more thankful. Although JSA is a huge part of my life, outside of meetings and phone calls I enjoy going to concerts and playing lacrosse. I can’t wait for this upcoming year with cabinet!
Hey guys! I’m Binta Phatty (fuh-tee) and I’m a fundraising specialist. I’m 17 and go to Dublin Scioto. In my free time I’m either debating or watching the Office and Game of Thrones.
I am a junior at Hamilton High School, where I serve as Treasurer of our chapter. I am involved in Show Choir, Theatre and golf. I am extremely excited to be spending my first year on cabinet in the Fundraising Department! This is my second year being in JSA and I hope this year is the best one yet!
