What is Convention?

The convention department is the part of the ORV cabinet that plans and coordinates the events at the conventions. They organize everything from debates to time blocks, dining, and even evening activities.  When they’re not preparing for Fall State, Winter Congress, and Spring State, the department can be found hard at work helping chapters plan Chapter Conventions.

co-Convention Coordinators

Hi my name is Andrew Bruns, and I am a senior at Miamisburg High School enrolled in the CCP program at Miami University. I am very excited to serve as your Co-Convention Coordinator(co-co’s) for this upcoming year! I joined JSA at the beginning of my Freshman year and it has been some of the best years of my life.

Sara Alsammerai

Hi, everyone! I am beyond ecstatic to be working as one of your Co-Convention Coordinators this year. As someone who fell in love with the message of JSA through our overnight conventions, I can’t wait to put my best efforts in this organization and help you have the great experience I have had. Besides my love for all things JSA, I enjoy reading historical fiction novellas, speaking French, and caring too much about font sizes.

michele Mensah

Hey everyone! I’m Michele Mensah and I am a senior at Cristo Rey Columbus High School, where I am also the Vice President for my chapter. When I’m not helping out in JSA, I am most likely listening to music or doing things around my school. I am thrilled to be working as a convention specialist this year, because of my love for this organization! If you ever want to talk about music, don’t be afraid to come talk to me!

Sydney Zulich

I joined JSA to hang out with friends and to share my opinions, while listening to others’ opinions as well. I joined cabinet to help everyone enjoy the club I love.
